Wirefae

My "Wirefae" item set for the virtual avatar creator, Recolor.me. The gray human base is a site asset. Generally, items on the site come in up to three versions for easy on-site recoloring via sliders; light and dark are the defaults. I also did a rainbow version for this set.
The first item in this set was actually the gloriole 'wings' of the third column. I've always thought glorioles are very pretty, and it occurred to me one day to try doing a delicate, metal, interlocked, repeating series of layered shapes for one. The rest of the set spawned from that; I asked myself, "What other things would look gorgeous in this style?" I picture little metalsmith fairies renowned for their delicate work making these, and the three different sets of wings (gloriole, fairy, and seraph) representing their different clans.
